QPSMR Questionnaire Design

With QPSMR Companion it is quick and easy to create questionnaires using your mouse, there is no need to type syntax, unless you wish to.

Different types of questions are available, including single response, multi response, open ended, verbatim texts, character and integer (positive or negative numbers, with or without a decimal point).

Filters can be used for entry routing and range checks may be applied to numeric entries so that only responses within a specified range (for example, between 1 and 100) will be accepted.

You may also temporarily halt data collection if certain conditions are met, or not met (for example, if a set of numeric entries should add to 100 and they do not).

You can include extra instructions for respondents or data entry staff, randomise entries and their responses, carry forward response texts so they are included in subsequent entries, and easily handle verbatim comments. When text is collected you can choose the way it is stored - "as typed" or automatically converted to uppercase or lowercase letters, regardless of the way it was entered.

As you define your questionnaire entries (or just selected responses from them) can be cut, copied and pasted as required; you can also copy and paste information from previously designed questionnaires.

Note: The QPSMR Companion Extended software includes extra facilities such as block updates which allow you to add score values and supplemental reject responses to many 100s of entries at the same time and a block paste special facility where sets of questions, filters and variables can be copied, pasted and renamed with all definitions updated - perfect for product tests!

As you define your questionnaire "test data" can be used at any time to check your work.

The data collection screens with filters (skips), extra instructions, carry forward texts etc are displayed; if changes are required, simply make them and “test data” again.

Note, you can run through the whole survey or just selected entries (where the program will automatically show only the necessary questions plus any filters required).

Note: QPSMR Companion can be used to import information from other programs in a variety of different formats, including triple-s SSS and XML where a questionnaire is automatically generated to match the data. A special script file is also available which allows you to transfer projects from SPSS into QPSMR Companion.
