Tip 4 - QPSMR Companion - Group Entries
Have you ever spent time selecting just specific entries from a large questionnaire file QDF (to check data, to run a topline summary or to data export perhaps), worked with those entries, then closed the QDF … only to realise you missed an entry or you need to run the same report again? Annoying isn’t it – having to re-select each of those specific entries for a second, third or even fourth time?!
QPSMR Companion has a very useful facility to allocate entries to groups, so you can quickly select all of the required entries (adding and removing other entries as needed). To do this, at the Main window, highlight the entries you need and select [Edit] [Group entries…] type in a name for the Group and click [Add selected entries to the group]. You can even add a colour to easily identify the entries in the group.
|Then, if you need those same entries again
in the future, all you need to do is, from the Main window,
select [Edit] [Group entries…] choose the Group name then
click [Selected all entries in this group] and you are ready
to run your checks, summary or export.
This facility is ideal if you import files from other software, as sometimes a lot of entries are included in the imported QDF that do not form part of the main questionnaire and are not needed in your checks or reports.
TIP: More than one entry group can be used in the same QDF (for example, you might include entries from a questionnaire Screener in one group, and the Recall section in another group).
Very simple … and very effective!
